WINEMAKING
The 2014 Tendril Shiraz comes from ten individual vineyards on red clay soils from Dorrien, Vine Vale and Light Pass, with some smaller parcels on Biscay soils near Bethany and Krondorf.
The Shiraz was fermented in small open vats, basket pressed and barrelled down ex pressed to complete primary and MLF before aging for 12 to 18 months in a mixture of French and American Hogsheads.
TASTING NOTES
COLOUR: Vibrant red brick/ purple in colour.
NOSE: Dense chocolate and wild berry notes with hints of dried spices.
PALATE: Rich, generous ripe blackberries with fine, silky tannins to finish.
Cellar well for five years.
