Harbord Wines 2005 'The Tendril' Shiraz - Barossa Valley

One of the best vineyards in Eden Valley lies at the 80km signpost as you travel out of the Eden Valley township. Vigneron Trevor and wife Grace Kroehn work tirelessly to produce simply outstanding Shiraz grapes from their very old vineyards including 1920's plantings. Hand-picked at 14.4 Baume, this wine was fermented in small fermentation vats with heading down boards and pumped over twice a day for 12 days. This brilliant Shiraz was gently pressed with the resulting Shiraz wine matured in new French oak barrels for 14 months.
